On 10 September 2020, officials from Spain and Ukraine signed a new income tax treaty. The treaty will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged and, once in force and effective, will replace the 1985 tax treaty between Spain and the former Soviet Union as it applies in respect of Spain and Ukraine. Details of the treaty will be published once available.
