According to a recent release from Vietnam's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Solomon Islands and Vietnam have agreed to advance the signing of an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
