Thailand extends VAT rate reduction until September 2027

The cabinet endorsed a draft royal decree proposed by the Finance Ministry to extend the temporary VAT reduction, which was due to expire on September 30, 2026. Under this measure, the VAT rate will remain at 6.3%, excluding local tax, or 7% including local tax. The tax is applicable to all sales of goods, services and imports.
