On 6 February 2007, an interpretative act issued by Brazilian tax authorities was published in the official gazette, recognizing that the Mexican flat rate business tax is covered under the tax treaty between Mexico and Brazil. This interpretative act applies to taxable events occurred as from 1 January 2008.
