On 26 December 2025, Turkey published Law No. 7569 in the Official Gazette, which approves the ratification of the pending income tax treaty with Hong Kong. The treaty, signed 24 September 2024, is the first of its kind between the two jurisdictions. It will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply in Hong Kong from 1 April of the year following its entry into force and in Turkey from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
