UK HM Treasury has laid before the House of Commons the draft Double Taxation Relief (Base Erosion and Profit Shifting) Order 2018. The purpose of the order is to bring into effect the Multilateral Convention to Implement Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (MLI), which the UK signed on 7 June 2017. After the order is approved, the UK must then deposit its ratification instrument for the MLI for it to enter into force in the country.
