On 16 January 2026, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed an order authorizing the negotiation of revisions to the 2000 social security agreement with the Slovak Republic. Any resulting revisions would be the first to the agreement and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
