According to an update from the Parliament of Uruguay, the Senate approved (sanctioned) the draft law for the approval of the pending social security agreement with Finland on 17 March 2026. The agreement, signed 7 October 2025, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
