Zambia Extends Temporary VAT Zero-Rating Petrol and Diesel

On 1 July 2026, the Permanent Secretary of Zambia's Ministry of Information and Media, Thabo Kawana, announced the Cabinet's approval of an extension of the VAT zero-rating of petrol and diesel. Previously approved from 1 April 2026 to 30 June 2026, the VAT zero-rating is now extended from 1 July 2026 to 30 September 2026.
